Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of General Practitioners Toward the Rehabilitation Field and Team Experts in Shiraz, Iran, in 2018

Background: General practitioners (GP) are the keystones in process of referring patients Iran. To refer to rehabilitation experts effectively and accurately, GPs need be equipped with knowledge understanding physical medicine (PMR) its roles have a positive attitude toward collaborating teams. Objectives: The current study aimed at evaluating knowledge, attitude, practice (KAP) Shiraz, Iran, field teamwork. Methods: cross sectional assessed KAP working public private health sectors 2018 via researcher-made questionnaire. Participants were recruited using stratified random sampling method. Results: A total 200 completed study. mean score was 13.54 ± 2.68 (ranging from 0 24), 10.84 2.47 20). Regarding practice, none participants (0%) had monthly average more than five referrals physiatrist. Thirty-eight (19%) respondents interested choosing PMR as specialty. Conclusions: According findings, not adequate moderate team. rarely use consultations for their patients’ complications. Policymakers should advocate higher level collaboration between teams find ways better familiarize healthcare providers PMR.
